The Low-down on Microdermabrasion
We talk a lot about microdermabrasion at H&B, and I mean a LOT – it is one of our most popular beauty services for clients and staff alike. So, what exactly is this fabulous facial add-on, and why is it so effective?
Micro-dermabrasion is a non-invasive treatment that uses a machine with tiny crystals to gently and effectively buff away the skin’s dead surface layer, revitalising dull skin and improving skin texture. It also stimulates collagen production within the skin, encouraging skin rejuvenation and increasing elasticity. The results are instant – clogged pores are reduced and the skin is more radiant – but the regenerative effects of microdermabrasion continue to work after the treatment.
Microdermabrasion is painless, and is suitable for almost all skin types. It can be used to treat a wide range of skin concerns, such as fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring and melasma, among others. It takes about 10 minutes, and can be added on to any of the facials offered in salon.
