How many sessions do I need to see results?

A single session delivers noticeable improvement in radiance and skin quality. However, for significant concerns like acne scarring, deeper sun damage, or stretch marks, a course of four treatments spaced roughly six weeks apart delivers the best structural results.

Collagen remodelling continues for 6–12 months after your final session, so improvements keep refining long after your last appointment.

Does microneedling hurt?

Here's what we hear after almost every treatment: "Oh, it wasn't too bad!"

Most clients expect it to be far more painful than it is. The sensation is often described as light scratches over mild sunburn, noticeably less intense than a tattoo. The active needling only takes about 15 minutes. Certain areas like the forehead and upper lip are more sensitive, but discomfort is brief.

We don't use numbing cream, and that's intentional. Being able to observe how your skin responds in real time, and hear your feedback, allows us to adjust depth and technique throughout. That dynamic assessment keeps the treatment safe and effective. We work with your skin, not blindly over it.

Will microneedling give me better results than facials?

This is a misconception we correct often: a package of four needling sessions will do more for your skin than even a series of active facials.

Facials work on the surface. Microneedling triggers deep structural repair, building new collagen and new elastin from within. If you're investing in your skin long-term, needling delivers compounding results that facials simply can't match.

Are at-home derma rollers worth it?

We align with dermatologists on this one: at-home derma rolling is hit and miss at best, and risky at worst.

What's the downtime after microneedling?

Microneedling is often called a "lunchtime procedure." Many clients head straight back to work.

Immediately after, expect redness and warmth, similar to mild sunburn. This typically settles within 24–48 hours. You may also notice:

Mild tightness
Light dryness
Occasionally small reddish-brown spots (petechiae) in delicate areas

We recommend avoiding heavy makeup, active skincare, vigorous exercise, and excess heat for 48 hours. Light mineral makeup is usually fine after 24 hours.
