Microneedling with Dermapen4: Advanced Skin Needling at H&B
Microneedling – also known as skin needling, dermal needling, or collagen induction therapy – is one of the most effective non-surgical treatments for smoother, healthier skin. At Hair Art & Beauty, our expert beauty therapists use the latest Dermapen4 technology to deliver professional microneedling treatments that stimulate your skin’s natural repair process for long-lasting results.
What is microneedling?
Microneedling works by creating thousands of controlled micro-injuries in the skin using the advanced Dermapen4 device. These micro-punctures activate your body’s natural healing response, boosting collagen and elastin production. Over time, this helps repair damaged skin structures, improving texture, tone, and overall skin health from within.
What skin concerns can microneedling treat?
Microneedling is far more than an anti-ageing treatment. It can also target:
-
Fine lines and wrinkles
-
Pigmentation and uneven tone
-
Acne scarring and surgical scars
-
Stretch marks (commonly post-pregnancy)
-
Rosacea and redness
-
Loose or sagging skin on the face or body
Because microneedling can be performed almost anywhere on the body – not just the face – it’s a versatile option for clients looking to refresh and rejuvenate their skin.
What happens during a microneedling treatment at H&B?
Your microneedling session takes around one hour. The Dermapen4 needling itself lasts just 15–20 minutes and may cause mild discomfort, but it is followed by a soothing mask to calm the skin. To further support healing, we finish with red LED light therapy – and while that works, you’ll enjoy a relaxing head and arm massage.
What to expect after microneedling
Immediately after your treatment, your skin may feel warm, tight, or look red – similar to a mild sunburn. Some swelling can occur, but this usually settles within 24–48 hours. Makeup should be avoided for at least 24 hours, and activities that cause sweating (such as exercise, hot yoga, or saunas) are best avoided while your skin begins to heal.
In the days following, you may notice:
-
Redness and tightness for 1–3 days
-
Mild peeling or flaking as fresh new cells form
-
Temporary breakouts or roughness (a normal part of skin renewal)
Within a week, most clients notice brighter, smoother skin. By 4–6 weeks, improvements in firmness, texture, fine lines, and pigmentation become more visible. Results continue to build for up to six months after your final treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
For best results, we recommend a course of four microneedling sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Each treatment builds on the last, allowing your skin to remodel and strengthen over time.
